WHY CHOOSE US
Established in 1982, Around Town Tours is Ann Arbor’s only tour guide service. We are members of the Ann Arbor Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, Ann Arbor Chamber of Commerce & Kerrytown Association.
Our greatest resource is our staff and its wealth of knowledge. Our tour guides are long-time Ann Arbor area residents who know the special spots, and vibrant local color, that make this town unique.
Our tour guides answer all of your questions, give advice, and do everything they can to provide a thorough, and friendly welcome to Ann Arbor, and all it has to offer.
VISIT ANN ARBOR
Founded in 1824, Ann Arbor was named for wives of the village’s founders, and the stands of Bur Oak trees. The University of Michigan moved to Ann Arbor in 1837, and the city grew rapidly in the early to mid-20th century.

Established in 1823 as Woodruff’s Grove, Ypsilanti took its famous moniker in 1829, named after Demetrios Ypsilantis, a Greek hero. Ypsi is now more known for the home of Eastern Michigan University, established in 1849.
